Striped Hoodie Sweater - BRIGHT STRIPES DOG SWEATER

I hate when people make boy dogs look like girl dogs. But I'm walking the line here with this sweater. The strong red trim balances the pastel stripes I think. I hope. Still, I had to promise Dave the Chihuahua that this is as far girly as I'd ever go.

That said, he looks soooooo cute in it. Easy in, out and washing. And he hasn't peed on it by mistake. And that's what's really important when you put an animal in clothing.

PINK - X-SMALL - Fashion Glitz Sweater - HIGH FASHION DOGGY SWEATER

This was bought by a friend and I had to share my feelings with other Amazon users. "Fancy Pants" had her birthday and guests bought many expensive gifts but this one was the "talk of the town". And little Fancy Pants was jumping up and down on her back legs when I helped her open the gift. Not only did the guests laugh but also my neighbour who hasn't laughed for years. And now her daily walks are a daily treat - and not just for her, for me too. People stop and talk - it's all about communication. Thankyou Fancy Pants. I love you and I love the Glitz Sweater.

X-SMALL - BLACK - Faux Mink Coat - DOGGIE MINK COAT

Great fit. Mojo my Yorkie lookes warm and cozy in his new coat. They'll be the best dressed dogs in town while wearing our faux mink coats.

PetMate Burrow Bed

First let me say I have tried lots of beds for my dog and she hasnt been jazzed by any of them but this one was a hit out of the ball park!
I have this on my bed for her to sleep in it.....That she can cuddle under the top is heaven to a dog who prior to this would try and crawl up my pajamas everynight. I guess that makes it heaven to me too :)
Its nice and soft and cuddly - lots of cushioning.... Its probably the thing I bought for my little Ginger that she actually likes more than I do!

Shelter Dogs

This book was really touching. The photos are beautiful and most of the dogs you can just feel their soul and personality right through the pages.
(Buyer beware, not all the dogs are rescued and live happily ever after. I didn't realize this when I bought the book so my heart leaped when reading their stories and I got to the ones that had been euthanized. It's very heartbreaking to see such a beautiful living (when the photo was taken) being and know they are gone.)
I wish this book was in every library, school, store in the country, it would make a difference. I got my pooch from the humane shelter 5 1/2 years ago as a 2 month old puppy that had been tossed out on a freeway to die. She is my best little buddy and better than any human friend I've ever had.

Dog

My husband bought this book for our 4 year old (who is famous among everyone we know for being both a book lover and a dog lover), and it is, not surprisingly, one of her favorites. She took it to her pre-K class today, and when I picked her up, her teachers were raving about it! They said that they read it at least three times to the class, and that it was the hit of the day! The fun starts before the book is even opened. The tails of the three dogs on the cover are touch and feel furry, or wag with the pull of a tab. It just gets better from there. This book is packed with a wide variety of clever and creative interactive tricks that are well integrated with the entertaining verbiage. The book is, in fact, clever enough to engage my husband and myself, and our older children; even my college aged daughter is currently petting, pulling and generally getting a kick out of this book as I write this review. I am online now to order another copy as a gift to my daughter's preschool in her name. Otherwise, she will want to bring this book to school every day for the rest of the year! We highly recommend this book!

Sumersault Puppy Plane Blanket

The blanket is a soft cuddly blue reversing to a silky satin. With an airplane being chased by a puppy, and the addition of stars, embroidery, and contrasting binding in green plaid, this blanket is a must have accessory or gift item.

Sumersault Puppy Plane Diaperstacker

I love this entire set! I gave this 4 stars because the plastic hanger broke when my dog was rough housing around it. My husband made me a solid oak hanger to go in it, and now it's better than before!

How to Raise a Puppy You Can Live With

When you visit a litter of little puppies that are so easy to handle and control, it is easy to overlook the thought that within a few months these puppies will have the size and general behavioral characteristics of their breed, together with the individual behavioral tendencies inherited from the parents.
A great book for begginers. Recommend reading it prior to getting a new puppy. It's simple positive training techniqes are a must.

Guide to Owning a Maltese: Puppy Care, Grooming, Training, History, Health, Breed Standard

This is a great book if you're looking into different breeds: It's inexpensive, and is a good introductory to the breed. But if you are bringing a Maltese home in a week, you need to get a more complete book that covers the aspects of training, grooming, and puppy care more than this book.

The Maltese: An Owner's Guide to a Happy Healthy Pet

Maltese are elegant, yet fearless little dogs. With their long silky coats, these dogs require a lot of grooming. Bobbie Linden, a Maltese breeder and columnist for the AKC Gazette, turns her love for, and knowledge of the breed to the care of this feisty dog.
This is the best Maltese book I have seen and I've read them all. The author's love for the breed clearly comes through. I espeically loved the helpful grooming information and the insite on what this breed is all about. Definitely a 5 star book!!!

How To Stop Your Maltese From Chewing

By Alvin Toh

Chewing is a common problem in all dogs. Your Maltese is chewing because he may be bored, lonely or stressed. If you have a Maltese puppy that chews, he could be teething.

Here are some training tips on how to stop your Maltese from chewing.

1. If chewing is a problem for your Maltese, keep him in a restricted area when not under your supervision. If you are not able to keep an eye on your dog, place him in a crate and provide him with chew toys. Do not let him roam freely in your house until he's been trained not to chew.

2. Use deterrents such as bitter spray or cayenne pepper on table legs, wooden furniture and carpet to discourage your Maltese from chewing. They are ideal for items that you cannot keep out of reach from your dog. You will still need to provide toys for your dog to chew. Do not give an old shoe or furniture. Otherwise, your dog may think that it is ok to chew on similar items.

3. When you catch your Maltese chewing, tell him ‘NO' firmly and give him a chew toy instead. Praise him enthusiastically when he chews on the toy. You must only correct him when you catch him in the act.

4. Give your Maltese a variety of chew toys to keep him occupied. Each week, alternate his toys so he has something different to play with.

5. If your Maltese is chewing because he is bored or lonely, make sure he gets plenty of physical and mental exercise. You are more likely to have a well-behaved, healthy and happy dog. Bring him for a long walk, a run or play with him. In addition to obedience and behaviour training, teach your dog new tricks. He enjoys learning them if you praise or reward him with his favourite treats. Exercise can also help to relieve tension and overcome boredom in your dog, thereby preventing most behaviour problems.

6. If you take time to puppy proof your home, there is less chance of your Maltese finding valuable things to chew. Keep hazardous items such as electric cords, chemicals, sharp objects and poisonous house plants out of reach from your dog. Besides training your Maltese to stop chewing, you are also preventing potential accidents from happening to him.

It takes time, patience and consistency to train your Maltese from chewing. If you find a method that works, apply it consistently in your Maltese training. If none of the above methods work, you may want to consider using an anti-bark collar.

Train Your Puppy

People training your dog when it is a little puppy. Because if you train them when they are young will give them the time to learn right from wrong and their brains are still developing so they will pick up on the training much quicker.
Training your dog at a young age will help them grow into a mature and friendly dog and also easier to do because of how quickly they can learn things.
The easiest way to teach your puppy to not jump is to teach them to sit and stay. W
If a visitor comes to the door, you can command the dog to sit and stay. That's a natural instinct for the dog to get excited when a new person comes in and go wild.
And equally important that you show your dominance over the puppy. Puppies will grow into reckless and difficult pets to handle, if they are believe they are dominant.
